So here's the story on Cradlebaby

We started making Cradlebaby around New Year's 2011. We were tired of being told, and telling our kids, not to practice lacrosse in the house when we really wanted them to do just the opposite. A small investment, a few lessons in Facebook, Twitter, eCommerce, UPC codes, packaging and shipping, a few pages of patents, days in the workshop making, improving and making more and this fun project has turned into a small business tied to the fastest growing sport in the US.

What is a Cradlebaby?

A Cradlebaby is a lacrosse practice ball designed to help kids of all ages and skills improve their lacrosse game. Specifically, to improve their cradling, dodges, fakes and shots by allowing them to practice indoors or out, all the time. The Cradlebaby training ball is a regulation lacrosse ball tethered to a player's stick so that they can play with it without breaking windows, lamps, etc...

Our patented design securely (because you don't want lacrosse balls flying around your house) attaches to the head of the lacrosse stick and is permanently attached to the ball. Part of the beauty of this system is that when the ball is in the stick it doesn't feel or act any different than a standard lacrosse ball. This means that practicing with a Cradlebaby is the same as practicing with a regulation lacrosse ball, except you don't have to run all over the house or yard every time you drop it.
